All you need is to send me a picture (text or email) of your “certificate of authority” from New York State with your name on it. This allows you to collect or include sales tax at your table, which you will have to pay our state government.
If you don’t have one, it’s FREE and EASY to get but does take a week or two to arrive. Please put your business partner’s name on the application too and not just yours. Here is the link: New York Business Express – Application to Register for a Sales Tax Certificate of Authority. You will need the orange card in your hand and not just the email confirming that it is coming.
Please be respectful by not sharing three or more tables with others for discounts. Also, each seller at your table must have their own orange card or their name must be on yours. A helper is somebody who does not sell their own merchandise and obviously does not need one.
